OUR PARKS
Parkwood Communities is owned by Equity LifeStyle. We are a 55+ resident community located in Wildwood, Florida (highways 44 and 301), just a mile from Brownwood and The Villages. We are made up of four parks: Parkwood Manor, Parkwood Oaks, Parkwood Village and Parkwood Limited.
All Parkwood residents are welcomed at all social events at any of the clubhouses, pools, shuffleboard courts, and are entitled to use all amenities of each of the 4 parks.
Activities
All four of our clubhouses hold numerous events and activities throughout the year. Our residents enjoy special dinners, dances, guest performers, shuffleboard, bingo nights, card playing, craft making, exercise and stretching classes. We also have swimming pools, hot tubs, and horseshoe pits.
Seniors - 55+ Community
Parkwood Communities is an age-restricted residential community that caters to the 55+ senior population. Our goal is to create a safe, healthy and active environment and lifestyle for our residents. This is something we continually strive to achieve!
Wildwood, Florida
Wildwood is a small-sized community, population about 4800 in 2008, and is centrally located with easy access to all major areas of Florida...within a 1 to 1-1/2 hour's drive of all major attractions and theme parks, as well as the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic ocean. Wildwood is located in Sumter County, at the juncture of Interstate 75, Florida's Turnpike, State Road 44, and U.S. Highway 301.
Even though Wildwood itself is a small town, we have all the advantages of a larger community...with a wide selection of retail shopping, antique shops, restaurants, entertainment venues, golf courses and medical facilities nearby.
Parkwood Manor
Parkwood Manor has 150+ residences and is the newest of the four parks, with its entrance off highway 301.
Parkwood Oaks
Parkwood Oaks is the larges of the four parks, with 230 residences. Its entrance is on south side of highway 44
Parkwood Village
Parkwood Village has 160+ residences and its entrance is on north side of highway 44.
Parkwood Limited
Parkwood Limited has 150+ residences and its entrance is also on north side of highway 44.
